Through my experience of burning out, I learnt an important lesson:
People can’t change what they can’t see. The biggest bottlenecks in life and business are rarely strategy. They’re the same unseen patterns quietly shaping how we think, lead and make decisions.
I experienced it personally. Then I saw the exact same pattern inside organisations. I watched one company fail because a founder couldn’t face the truth.
In another company, I built a corporate division to 65 clients responsible for more than $200 million in revenue in under one year and was promoted to COO to lead a business transformation within three months. Yet despite my best efforts, the broader business continued losing talented people and valued clients because the leadership did not want to accept and honestly face the difficult truths and address the real issues.
